We believe that our approach could be applicable to other fields than Civil Aviation; that's why we
have
decided to present our technical approach with a high level of detail. You can skip whatever is beyond

The individuals who designed the methodology had a somewhat eclectic range of hobbies (including
Chess, Flower arrangement, and Martial arts). Technically, everyone had
delved into the field of Artificial Intelligence. What brought us together was the common idea that we
all
had about AI: AI allowed us to extract the pulp of knowledge necessary to solve a problem.
In other words, AI is not the solution; it is the path that allows intelligence to
emerge.
This is an important idea that can be grasped without entering into any technicality, just by using
intuition.
AI lets intelligence emerge through a layered process of pattern identification. This is (in our opinion) a fascinating subject. If you share some interest in it, to have a glimpse of our inspiration.
Our software solution implements a multilayered identification of patterns. In clear,
it
allows us to "dig into" air surveillance data files to extract any relevant
event,
similar to an AI search engine that understands natural language. In our software
solution,
we can "ask questions" such as:
"find all aircraft whose profile has been suboptimal in horizontal (or in vertical)",
"estimate the fuel over cost", and so on.
The software finds the relevant trajectories and allows us to "work on them": understand the
reasons
why the air traffic controllers instructed them as they did, provide insight about how to
modify the
air traffic controllers' working methods, etc.

We offer the following services:
This is based on a thorough analysis of the traffic. We take surveillance and flight plan files as input data and produce data files implementing all five layers of pattern identification listed here. Then, our software solution allows us to investigate where extra costs occur, both for aircraft (fuel consumption) and for air traffic controllers (extra workload).
Having identified extra costs, we also identify the rationales for them. Then, we provide support in modifying your air operations system, as explained in our methodology. For instance, we can assess the impact of a new procedure or a change in any procedure, both for the aircraft (fuel consumption) and for the controllers (conflicts).
So far, our tools are for internal use only. Still, if you want to get access to them for "playing" with the pattern data files yourself, we are open to this option. This will nevertheless incur an extra cost, due to a change in the licenses policy for our company.
